Because I haven’t posted anything in a while.
I drew an earlier version of this on my Deviantart site, but I decided I could do better, if I could.
I was inspired by a cherub/putto/amorino statue I saw in someone’s front yard in the snow. It made me think about the pandemic and the general insanity we are all facing in modern life.
Just a quick sketch whipped out this morning. I was mostly playing with limited colors.
I know this is a little early, but I couldn’t resist. I based it on a cast iron “doggie bank” from early 20th century, that’s located on a shelf in our kitchen. I just thought it would be a neat idea for a holiday picture.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, etc. my watchers. This is part of my series of my interpretations of different aesthetics.
Also, here’s to wishing the new year will be better!
